Schatzalp Snow & Mountain Resort
The comfortable Schatzalp Snow & Mountain Resort lies on top of a sunny plateau at about 300 m above the town centre of Davos, which you can reach within 4 minutes with the Schatzalp funicular. The resort is situated in the middle of the Schatzalp/Strela ski area so that you can, depending on snow conditions, descend from the ski area to the house! The closest cross-country track is approx. 700 m away from Davos. The historic and well-kept hotel offers a reception, lobby, two lifts, a public panorama restaurant as well as the dining room "Belle Epoque", a piano bar and the terrace restaurant "Snow Beach". Furthermore, there is a reading and TV room, an Internet corner and Wi-Fi as well as a children's playroom with children's videos and game rental. Child care is available for a charge and on request for children from 0 - 12 years of age. There is a ski room available for your equipment in the hotel. Parking facilities can be found at the valley station of the funicular railway (for a charge). The spa area offers a steam room, sauna and an organic sauna free of charge. Massages are available for a fee. Entrance to the indoor pool and fitness room of the partner Hotel Europe (directly next to the valley station Schatzalp, consult opening hours locally) are also free of charge. For the duration of your stay, you can use the Schatzalp funicular until 2 a.m. as well as the toboggan run going from Schatzalp to Davos_Platz (approx. 2.5 km) free of charge. The included lift pass is valid for your entire stay (incl. the day of arrival and departure). It is valid only in the small and slowed down Nostalgia ski area with approx. 10 km of piste. Winter as it used to be - that means, that you ski on natural snow only and the pistes are not covered with artificial snow. It can also mean that the ski area may open later in the season or close earlier - depending on weather conditions - as the pistes can only be opened when there is enough natural snow to ski on. In this case, the lift passes cannot be refunded. In resort you also receive the "Davos Klosters Card" (guest card), offering a variety of free services or discounts, e.g. on rides with the local bus, subject to change, more information locally). Rooms The cosy rooms are equipped with bath or shower/wc, telephone, radio, Wi-Fi and hair drier. Board The included half board offers a breakfast buffet as well as a 3-course menu to choose from in the evening. Now and again, a themed buffet is offered instead. A special children's menu is also available.
