Big Sky Reviews
I first went to Big Sky when I was about 10 and it was brilliant. As a family we have been back 3 times, each time it has been better and better. For the children it's great! There is a kids club and lots of activities, Huntley Lodge is beautiful but if you stay in the Condos you have use of the hot tub (which is always great after a hard days skiing). The slopes are empty! There are no ques and everyone is so friendly. The area is being continuously improved, however it was nice to have a little old lodge to have a hot chocolate in, which is now a large modern restaurant. There are lots of different pistes to try out. Yellowstone is so close you'd be missing out on going. When the snow is really good you can even ski to your condo - if it's not too far down the road- which makes it a lot easier! The restaurants are really nice and the pizza bar has great pizza that you can sit in and watch x-treme snowsports on the TV or take away to eat in your condo. Overall one of the best skiing areas to go to. The bad points wold have to be travelling, from London it took 3 flights, 8 hours, 3 hours then 2 hours but it is totally worth it!!

It's superb. It has a proper mountain - Lone Peak, which is visible from all parts of the resort. The snow is excellent. The terrain is interesting. There is plenty of steep and deep. And there are some excellent long intermediate groomers, if you want a high speed blast. This is made all the easier by the total lack of people. By European standards it is deserted. You can still make fresh tracks on the groomed runs at lunchtime! The resort lacks charm, but is comfortable enough. There are a few reasonable restaurants and some apres-ski entertainment.
