Ski Holidays in Alleghe, Italy
A few kilometres south of the Marmolada, in the narrow Agordo Valley, on the lake's shores lies the town of Alleghe overlooked by the imposing massif of Civetta.
Alleghe is little gem off Italian Dolomites - a renowned tourist resort, one of the favourite destinations of mountain lovers, with 80km of slopes varied enough to please most tastes.
The lake plays a fundamental role as during the coldest winter days one can skate on its frozen surface. Right there many national hockey players were "born" and "raised" in the local team.
Alleghe ski areas together with Selva di Cadore, Palafavera and the Zoldo Valley, create Civetta Skiing District.
