2014 Ski Season Opening Party

2014 Ski Season Opening Party Kick off ski season in style at the 2014 Opening Party & London Premiere of Almost Ablaze.

Get involved in London’s official opener to the ski season, with Teton Gravity Research’s award winning ski film Almost Ablaze plus after party with headliners Shy FX.

Premiere

Almost Ablaze was recently awarded Film of the Year at the 2014 International Freeski Film Festival. From urban riding in the war-torn Olympic venues of Sarajevo to exploring new terrain in Sella Nevea to next level skiing in Revelstoke, this is extraordinary skiing in stunning locations. Watch as athletes push the edge to realise a heightened state.

“The Edge…There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others-the living-are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later. But the edge is still Out there.” - Hunter S Thompson

Almost Ablaze is included in our top 5 ski and snowboard films to watch this winter

Party

After the premiere it is going to be a full on blow out – winter style! Think jäger trains, retro onsies, beanies and a gondola photo booth. You’ll get the chance to rub shoulders with Team GB Olympic athletes, catch up with the rest of the ski industry and the chance to win free giveaways on the night.

The first après ski session of winter takes place at the Bankside Vaults at Southbank with other acts including Stamina MC, All About She (DJ set) and Rise Festival resident DJs.
