Verbier ski resort notes that Alp resorts have witnesses snow falls of up to 40 cm as high up the mountains as 2,000 metres, with those on ski holidays in Chamonix likely to witness fresh snow of 25 cm at town level.

According to Easier, the resort of Soelden is under a metre of snow while three new lifts are to operate in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl region.

Kitzbuhel had the best snow record in the Alps in 2003, according to SkiAustria.com those who enjoy a good apres ski nightlife would do well to book a ski holiday in Kitzbuhel according to its recommendations.
