Snow Filled Feb On The Cards

Snow Filled Feb On The Cards

Thanks to a combination of Mother Nature and our favourite ski resorts' determination to keep the slopes snowy, February is looking on the up for snow. Canada and the U.S. are forecast another week of powder and much of the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps will be enjoying up to double figure snowfall to keep the piste pristine. Throw in some sunshine and you have perfect après ski conditions after a great day on the slopes.

Europe's big resorts will be feeling a little more relaxed as temperatures are staying within the perfect range for both natural and man made snow (around -4°C). The snow is due to be light & frequent with around 10cm falling this week. Avoriaz & Les Gets in the Portes Du Soleil and Chamonix top the French snow-charts, Ellmau, Kitzbühel and Hinterglemm are among the top cold spots in Austria and the Swiss resorts of Les Diablerets, Crans Montana and Nendaz will be maintaining their charm after a snowy covering.

The other side of the Atlantic is benefitting from more snow at the moment, so the look beyond the long flights and lift pass prices, especially with some great last minute chalet deals in America and charter flight specials to Banff that are knocking around. Whistler is boasting a whopping 38cm with Kicking Horse and Tremblant benefitting from notable snowfall of 32cm and 23cm respectively. Aspen, Steamboat and Beaver Creek are all looking forward to upwards of 20cm of Colorado's finest.

With the snow returning and temperatures offering perfect snow making conditions February is once again looking like a great month to hit the slopes.
