The best of the snowfall is in the Western Alps, with lighter snow in Switzerland and Austria, and very little snow in Italy.
There are reports of 30 cm of snowfall already since Saturday in Tignes, Val d’Isere, Courchevel and Verbier, with 20-30cm in Val Thorens, Avoriaz, Les Arcs and Flaine.
This isn’t the end, regular snowfalls are predicted daily for at the least the next 9 days and much more snow should be on its way.
We’re not expecting this much to actually fall, but predictions over the next 9 days include:
Chamonix – 231cm
Zermatt – 218cm
Les Deux Alpes - 215cm
Flaine – 200cm
Verbier – 160cm
Val d’Isere – 159cm
Alpe d’Huez – 158cm
Val Thorens – 155cm
Les Arcs – 155cm
Cervinia – 147cm
