Snowboarding Big Air Added to Winter Olympics 2018

Snowboarding Big Air Added to Winter Olympics 2018 The Olympic committee announced this week that four new events will be added to the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The four new events are:

- Snowboarding big air
- Curling mixed doubles
- Mass start speed skating
- Alpine skiing team events

This brings the total winter events to 102.

With snowboarding big air on the table at the next Olympics, this gives the Team GB snowboarders a great chance for another medal – will Billy Morgan bring the quad cork? There will be events for both men and women in the snowboarding big air.

The alpine skiing team event will involve teams of two men and two women competing in parallel slalom races.

Team GB won four medals in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, including Gold in the skeleton from Lizzy Yarnold, Silver in the Men’s Curling, Bronze in the Women’s Curling and Bronze in Women’s Snowboarding Slopestyle from Jenny Jones
