Fantastic late season stay! - 10/05/2017
Overall

We stayed at the Aiglon for the last week of the season & it was absolutely brilliant! Our chalet host Sarah served great breakfasts, afternoon teas & dinners all week & no one was left hungry! The chalet is on the outskirts of Tignes Le Lac but the slopes are easily accessible either by a short walk or an even shorter bus ride. You can even jump on the bus to Val Claret if you fancy changing things up a little bit mid week. The chalet offers a spectacular view over the lake with a large balcony to sit & enjoy a beer on in the early Spring sunshine (although a few deck chairs would have been fantastic!). I was a bit apprehensive about going skiing so late in the season but the runs were in excellent condition in the morning all be it a bit slushy by the afternoon - giving you the perfect excuse to retire in a deck chair & enjoy the views! I would definitely recommend staying here as it is in a great location & the chalet is very spacious with a great living area & sauna.

Great chalet! - 28/04/2017
Overall

The chalet was fantastic, much larger than the layout suggests and with amazing views up and down the Tignes valley courtesy of floor to ceiling windows. On the outskirts of Tignes Le Lac, it was only a short bus ride to the lifts in either Val Claret or Le Lac, this may sound unappealing but actually it is a luxury to be so close to both without having to ski across! The ski lockers are right by the main door making it really easy to get in and out of the building and quickly hit the slopes, boot warmers were also a great perk. As far as the service went it was excellent, our host was always there for us and the cooking really did not disappoint. I would definitely stay in Chalet Aiglon again given the chance. Further, the ski area and resort itself are right up there with the best. Guaranteed snow with two glaciers and despite having gone in April most of the runs were still well looked after. Only in the afternoons did some of the slopes become slushy, but this was to be expected with blues skies every day!

Exceeded all expectations - 28/04/2017
Overall

Going into this holiday I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from the chalet but I came away thoroughly impressed. This is an apartment style chalet (laid out all over one floor) with a generously sized living and dining area which was more than big enough for our group. All the rooms were ensuite and decently sized for 2 so no complaints there either. My favourite feature was the balcony which is accessible via all the bedrooms and the living area and wraps around 50% of the chalet- though a couple of deck chairs wouldn't have gone amiss. Sarah, our chalet host, did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome throughout the week and served fantastic food to us every meal of the week. Similarly the other reps kept us up to date and generally ensured a seamless holiday. You can walk to the main lifts if you want and it'll only take 5-10 minutes but the ski bus stop is at the end of the road and is a better way of getting there in boots. There's also restaurants and shops for rental etc. quite close by. I did have some worries about going this late but they were all unfounded, the skiing in Tignes was awesome despite going in the middle of April. Yes some days you hit a bit of slush but mostly conditions were fantastic especially on the Glacier. Tignes has to be the pick of the resorts for late season and i'd certainly go to this chalet again. The location, chalet, view and ski area were all top notch.

Spring skiing in an amazing resort - 28/04/2017
Overall

We recently stayed in Chalet Aiglon for the last week of the ski season on the 16th April. The snow conditions were absolutely amazing considering the time of year and we skied in bluebirds nearly every day. The chalet itself is fantastic, it is clean and modern and the food was super. The balcony looks out over the lake and Val Claret in the distance with the Grande Motte behind. It is a two minute walk to the bus stop which is a short drive to the main lift area that takes you into the massive Espace Killy. An amazing resort with great skiing and awesome apres!

Stunning chalet with spectacular views - 27/04/2017
Overall

Chalet Aiglon is a stunning chalet that the current photos don’t give justice to. For winter 2016/17 the chalet had a new kitchen fitted and new decorations added to give a modern feel to the wooden styling. The open planned living area is perfect for groups occupying the entire chalet where you can play games or watch a film with plenty of space for each individual person. The bedrooms are a little tight for 2 people plus luggage but the spacious communal areas make up for this and there is extra storage space in the hallway if needed. The view from the balcony is spectacular; you are surrounded by mountains and can see across the lake to Tignes Val Claret. It’s amazing to catch these views from the bedrooms too! The building also includes Chalet Chamois and a kids club which is great for families and groups with children.
