Fab holiday! First time in Austria instead of France, am totally converted! So much friendlier, more authentic culturally, and cheaper!!! The resort is low down, and towards the end of a really bad season the snow wasn't great, but they have plenty of snow-making machines so even though there was no snow anywhere to be seen off the piste the slopes themselves were at least skiable (if sushy!) The lifts and ski equipment were great, better than other resorts I've been to, nice and new and modern - eg you can go online and type in your life pass code and it tells you how far you've been every day! Soll is a lovely little village, quiet compared to others I've been to but I liked it, especially the free flowing Jager! Lodge Mounty was great, more of a hotel than a chalet, you eat dinner with all the other guests, the food was great, nice veggie options, three courses every night, healthy and fresh, really liked it. Staff were nice too. Oh and check out the Iglu village and the revolving resturant at the top of the mountain!! A great holiday, wish I could do it all over again!
