perfect location 28/01/2014
Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Val Thorens, hotel is in the best location 100% ski to and from door, rooms were very tidy and cleaned daily. We stayed in room 310 with great views, staff are very friendly and helpful, easy walk to resort center, with all the ski hire shops, would go back tomorrow.

Great Location 10/01/2015
This hotel is in a great ski-in/out location with easy access to a great selection of lifts that spread in all directions. The room we had was a decent size with two single beds (pushed together) and two bunk beds in the corridor. As there was only two of using the room this extra space was very useful but it would be extremely cramped if there were actually 4 people in the room. The decor and carpets need updating but there are plenty of hooks for hanging things up. The bathroom (with a small bath and shower) and the separate toilet were very good looked like fairly recent renovations. We weren't really happy with the heating system in the room which tended to be too hot in the morning and too cold at night. The public spaces could also do with updating. Our dining table (allocated for the whole week) was tiny and we could barely get our knees under it to sit properly. The lounge area was fine though - although the furniture was tired it was adequate. The biggest let down for me was the restaurant. I had read good reports about the food and was looking forward to our meals but they were very disappointing. There is no choice at all with the starter/main (take it or leave it) and the portions were on the small side (thinnest slice of cheese imaginable with the 'cheese course') although there was a dessert buffet a couple of nights. To add to this, the service was dire and incredibly slow. I don't know if it was the kitchen or the waiter (who did seem to have a LOT of tables to deal with) but the food took ages to be served with most meals taking around two hours or more! Overall, the hotel was just about okay.

I was impressed with the hotel, the rooms were relatively basic, but the location was excellent - down to the ski and boot room and straight out onto the slopes in the centre of the resort. The location to the town was also excellent - central and a minutes away from ski shops, supermarket and bars.

There was a five course meal, which included a cheese course which was superb! The cheeses were delicious, however the variety of cheeses stayed the same each night. The quality of the food was good enough, my expectations weren't too high, but it met these.

The hotel had one night of entertainment with a live singer which we enjoyed, although not many people stuck around to listen. There was also a pool table in the hotel which could be used for a small fee.

I would definately return to this hotel.
