The Mont-de-Lans glacier, near the top of the main mountain, is claimed by the tourist office to be the largest skiable glacier in Europe. Beginners on ski holidays in Les Deux Alpes are especially well catered for, with many gentle runs above the village, and the glacier is a haven, with it’s wide open pistes.

Lift passes in Les Deux Alpes
There are 3 different age groups for a lift pass in Les Deux Alpes. A 6 day adult (13-64 years) lift pass costs €237, a child (5-12 years) lift pass costs €190 and a senior (65-71 years) lift pass costs €214.
Lift passes are free for children under 5 and seniors over 72.
An extension can be purchased for access to La Grave. A 2-5 days pass is +€30 and a 6 days and more is + €22.
