Les Chalets de Meribel Reviews
Myself and two friends stayed at the Chalet de Meribel in February 2011. While not being a premium chalet, it did offer all the home comforts you'd expect. My single bed was just a bunk bed with ill-fitting sheets, but I still slept OK most of the time. Our chalet hosts were faultless and provided exactly the right amount of conversation, advice and support. They also cooked excellent food. We were informed by everyone we spoke to that the snow in Meribel this season had been less than great. We however were very lucky, it dumped down as we arrived and did so for the next 36 hours. There was plenty of snow enabling us to cover the whole of the 3 Valleys during the course of the week. It was getting patchy again by the end of the week though. All in all I felt we received good value for money; it wasn't a premium chalet as far as fixtures and fittings were concerned, but it wasn't premium price. Ps - if you like an afternoon party, head to the Folie Douce. Just ask someone...
