Val Claret (Rond Point des Pis Reviews
I find Tignes to be a great resort as i have fond memories of going there when I was younger, but to go back years later makes you see things in a different way. From I stayed we could see the Tuffs lift out of our window. The accomodation was basic modest but comfortable. The apres ski was affluent in both Val claret and Le Lac, and being able to ski practically to the bar and get a drink is always a bonus. Personally I'd stay higher up in the valley in Val claret instead of val d'sere or Le Lac as i feel they accomodated for familys and younger childreren in terms of facilitys and hotel options. All together a great place for first time skiiers as their are gental wide slopes to ride, but also fun for the more seasoned skiier who might want to ski right down the valley for the day. The price of food varies, generally its more expensive than a standard holiday due to the captive audience but if your smart on accomodation its not to much of a problem. For me Tignes is a must, great range of slopes, there always something to do and somewhere to go on the evening, just make sure to keep your wallet at hand.
Apres Ski: 5/5
