Club Meds Newest All-Inclusive Resort

Club Med was a pioneer in offering all-inclusive ski holidays way back in 1950, today they are the leader.

Tignes was one of their first resorts with a history spanning all the way back to 1958. It was a shock to see them absent from last season, and the thought crossed our minds; “was this the end of skiing as we know it?” The answer was, of course, NO, Club Med is back in the resort with a vengeance, from December 2022 they are opening up their brand new all-inclusive family flagship resort in Val Claret, with their usual amazing service and the addition of all the bells and whistles.

Famous interior designer and architect Jean Philippe Nuel surpassed himself when they commissioned him to design a resort that has an ambience that is both happy, and family-friendly yet adds an element of glamour.

Location

Situated at 2,150 metres and with over 300km of pistes, the resort is perfect for all abilities, from complete beginners to powder hounds. The brand new Club Med hotel is in a new location, just by the ESF meeting point and opposite the Tichots lift, which gives you easy access to the rest of Tignes including the famous eye of the needle. There is a nice beginner slope close by, and the short rope tow takes you to the lifts for the GrandMott, which is one of the easiest access lifts for skiing over to Val D'isere.

Food

If you are a connoisseur of good food, have special dietary requirements or are a picky eater, then both of the restaurants will be able to cater for all of your needs on your all-inclusive ski holiday.

The main restaurant “Le Val Claret” offers buffet-style meals featuring both local Savoyarde food such as fondue, tartiflette and international cuisine.

If you want a more intimate dining experience, then we recommend booking your table early at the Gourmet Lounge Le Solstice. At this restaurant, you can choose a late lunch or an evening meal accompanied by red or white wine. If you would like to try something different then premium wines can be purchased for an additional cost making the experience even more special.

One massive advantage of going to the Club Med in Tignes means that you can ski over to Val D'isere and not miss out on lunch. Just talk to your receptionist to make a reservation before skiing over to enjoy lunch at the recently renovated Club Med in Val D’isere.
