As we reported last week over 100 cm of snow was forecast to fall in areas of the Alps this week… and great news, it’s still there in the latest reports! Many of our most popular ski resorts in France, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy are in for a very snowy week with snow predicted most days over the next week with the biggest dumps on Tuesday 28th February. Top snowfalls for Tuesday include: 62 cm in Avoriaz, 61 cm in Flaine, 52 cm in Lech, and 47 cm in St Anton.
Switzerland has received the best of the snowfall in the past 7 days. Topping the charts was Davos with 33 cm, Wengen with 30 cm, Murren with 23 cm, and Engelberg with 20 cm of fresh snow.
The new snow is great news for skiers and snowboarders heading out in the first few weeks of March. The snow depths will be given a much needed top up for fantastic slope conditions. With huge snowfalls forecast and spring approaching it’s the perfect time for a last minute ski deal in one of the ski resorts listed below.
