Canada’s ski resorts are some the best on the planet, boasting spacious slopes with perfectly groomed, world-class powder snow for all abilities of skiers and snowboarders. English is spoken in every resort, whilst hospitality and service tends to be unbeatable, ultimately leading to the perfect ski holiday.

Ski Areas in Canada

The largest and most well-known ski resorts in Canada are located in British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec. British Columbia has spectacular scenery and legendary champagne powder; ski resorts include Whistler, Fernie and Kicking Horse.

Alberta is nestled in the incredible Rocky Mountains, Banff is one of the most popular locations where you can enjoy skiing the Big3 (Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise).

The ski villages in Quebec have a European feel to them as well as fantastic skiing, including the charming Tremblant which is one of the easily accessible resorts from the UK.

Canadian ski resorts are very much suited to any type of person. Whether you are an energetic young adult or a family with young children, Canada has it all. The friendly atmosphere is ever-present, whilst, depending on where you go, most resorts have something for everyone. As for the skiing, there are always a wide range of slopes, with one resort never favouring a certain ability of skier.

Conditions in Canada

Snow in Canada is always in pristine condition, largely due to the care put in by resort staff. Grooming is excellent, and the snow is generally beautifully dry, powder. The only downside is that lower slopes tend to suffer earlier in the season compared to Europe and elsewhere. Other than this, skiing conditions are wonderful, and loved by all.
