Jeanette Chippington has represented Great Britain at 7 Paralympic Games, starting in Seoul in 1988, and finishing in Paris in 2024.
She won 2 golds in swimming at the 1996 Atlanta games, and a paracanoeing gold in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro - plus a further 11 Paralympic medals, and plenty more in World and European Championships.
Jeanette “had a fantastic time” on a mono-ski, which has 1 ski underneath and 2 supporting skis (paddles) which are operated by hand.

Major progress with huge cable car upgrade
The minimalist design on the Cime Caron cable cars will ensure everyone inside gets brilliant views as they approach Val Thorens’s highest point, at 3,200m - with subsequent links to Orelle.
It’ll move 1,500 skiers per hour at 11 metres per second, and the top station is also now a huge new complex which has a restaurant, wine and snack bars, and an 80m² mixed-use space for events and exhibitions.
You can see in all directions from the top - including stunning views of Mont Blanc.

€10m infrastructure update for major French resort
After 36 years, Méribel’s Rhodos gondola is being updated. The lift takes skiers up from near Méribel Centre towards Courchevel, with lots of lovely green runs emerging from the top, as well as further lifts.
The new gondola will travel at 6 metres per second (previously 5), trimming an entire minute off the journey - now it’ll only take 4 minutes and 40 seconds.
The bottom and middle stations will be fully renovated in 2025, while the top station will arrive in 2026.
