Snow Conditions in Switzerland (14 April 2014)
Most Swiss resorts remain open this week with good spring skiing higher up. Saas Fee (38/328cm) was almost entirely open on Monday 14th April except for a few lifts on wind hold. Head above 2,500m for the best snow, but this isn’t to say that skiing beneath that is bad. If you like skiing slushy snow then you’ll have a great time.
St Moritz (20/140cm) remains open too, although skiing is only possible in the Diavolezza and Corvatsch areas. Lower areas are quite bare now but they’ve kept some runs open still. Further up it’s much better.
Colder weather is on the way for Switzerland later this week which could bring some fresh snow with it.
