Les Deux Aples is now linked with La Grave on the same lift pass, which opens up a huge area of Off Piste skiing.
The Mont-de-Lans glacier, near the top of the main mountain, is claimed by the tourist office to be the largest skiable glacier in Europe. Beginners on ski holidays in Les Deux Alpes are especially well catered for, with many gentle runs above the village, and the glacier is a haven, with it’s wide open pistes.
Boardparks and Pipes: The Les Deux Alpes boardpark is one of the best in Europe, which comes as no surprise, as they have been welcoming snowboarders here for many years back. There are usually five big hits, from small to some of the biggest ones we have ever seen.
The boardercross course is gateless and not groomed too often, but full of little surprises, both good and bad. There is also a massive half pipe (sorry, no two-plankers), which is kept in pristine condition. There are also weekly competitions, check in resort for schedule.
