Ski resorts in Norway
Many people are under the assumption that Norway is only reallly suitable for cross country skiing with indeed some of the best terrain and facilities around. However Norwegian ski resorts also play host to some very impressive downhill pistes and snowboard parks, all of which are ideally suited to beginners and intermediates with even some opportunities for more accomplished skiers. The resorts of Voss and Lillehammer / Hafjell of 1994 Winter Olympics fame, both offer a good range of pistes, ideal for families and both have an excellent reputation for their ski schools.
