Hotel Euroski, Soldeu, Andorra

Skiing was great, hotel v comfortable if too warm - but aren't all ski hotels! but note - this hotel is closer to el tarter and a 25 mins walk up hill to Soldeu. - unachievable if in your ski wear. There are no ski busses so you rely on the hotel mini bus (to El tarter only) or the public transport. food was average - often put out too early so had been under the heat lamps for long time e..g scrambled eggs in morning had a 'crust'!

Stayed March 2016. Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean with very friendly staff. Two minibuses run to and from lift only 3 mins away and rarely waited, max 5 mins if they weren't already outside. Rooms and bathrooms a good size although beds a little hard as per most hotel beds. Ski hire in hotel and we had very nice skis. Lovely pool and fitness area. Included drinks were from 4pm but would have been nice to have a list of what spirits etc were included. The only downside was the food. A couple who had stayed before a number of times said it was the worst they had experienced. Basically its the usual chicken, pork and fish help yourself buffet style and is nice when first brought out, however, they don't keep it heated so it soon cools. Chips were on a hotplate which was either broken or not turned on, soup also cooled quickly but I requested the thermostat on the tourine be turned up and it was fine after that. The presented food is nice, it just needs to be kept hot. The only downside to an otherwise excellent hotel. Would have given the accommodation 5 stars if not for that. Seven minute walk into El Tarter or 25 mins uphill into Soldeu. Would we stay there again, Yes. PS. Iglu did a fantastic package on the hotel, ski hire, lift passes and lunch on the slopes. One addition is that in Andorra you can pay for recovery from the mountain insurance so ask your rep about it before you use your lift pass.
