Cervinia, Italy

Skiable glacier: Klein Matterhorn Glacier
Italy's most snow-sure resort, Cervinia guarantees top to bottom snow conditions for a long season running from November into May. It is also open during the summer months at the Theodul glacier and people have the ability to cross over the border into neighbouring Zermatt.

Zermatt, Switzerland

Zermatt has consistent snow conditions and at the top there is enough snow that skiing is possible during the summer. With over 800 snow making machines, over 75% of the resort's slopes are covered to ensure they keep in top condition.
Saas Fee, Switzerland

Skiable glacier: Saas Fee Glacier
Most of Saas Fee's slopes are north facing and over 2,500m, making for its reliable powdery snow conditions, especially as it gets very little sun during the early season. Plus it is also a quieter and cheaper Swiss resorts compared to Zermatt.
Tignes, France

Guaranteed skiing virtually all year round due to its snow making capabilities and high altitude, Tignes is a great resort to go to throughout the season. The resort is accommodating for all abilities and it's Grande Motte glacier also means you can ski into the summer months!
Val Thorens, France

Highest resort in Europe
The combination of its high altitude, two glaciers and north facing slopes makes Val Thorens the best for for snow sure slopes. It's season is long, usually finishing in early May and you even have the ability to ski into the 'hidden valley' of Orelle.
Avoriaz, France
Resort height: 1800m
Highest lift: 2350m
Avoriaz receives an average snowfall of 7.5m as the resort is exposed to storms that move in from the north-west, making it the snowiest French ski resort at resort level. Its north facing slopes below Chavanette and Hauts Forts in particular hold snow well, making for fantastic snow conditions for most of the season.

Kaprun, Austria

Skiable glacier: Kitzsteinhorn Glacier
With most of its slopes lying on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, it's not surprising why Kaprun is one of the best snow sure resorts. It opens earlier than neighbouring Zell Am See because of this and provides skiing for all abilities with the glacier itself operating for 10 months of the year.
St Anton, Austria

Averaging 11m of snow each year, St Anton is often top of the snow-depth records in Austria, owing to its legendary off-piste skiing. Plus, 72% of the ski area's slopes have snow making capabilities.
Sölden, Austria

Skiable glacier: Rettenbach and Tiefenbach Glacier
Boasting two glaciers at Retternback and Tiefenbach that operate through autumn, Solden has reliable snow cover over its 150km of pistes. Its fantastic snow conditions are also maintaned well and 76% of the ski area is covered by snow making systems.
Obergurgl
