Piolets Hotel, Soldeu, Andorra

Very pleasant stay. Located just next to the main gondola, it's hard to beat the location of this property. The buffet was varied each day and so you'd struggle to go hungry here. Considering this is a 4* hotel, the beers in the bar were only €3 a pint too! You do have to pay to use the spa facilities but for only €6, it felt like it was worth it.

We have just returned from a week's skiing at the above Hotel and Resort. The journeys to and from the Hotel were well arranged, the Reps were polite and helpful and the Hotel was clean, tidy and just as it was made out to be in the brochure. Plenty to do in the Hotel, bar area was very roomy and nice, drinks were very reasonably priced, spa area was good and the situation perfect for walking to the Gondola/lifts. However we found Soldeu was pretty quiet, not a lot to do there and as for trying to eat out at night...no chance unless you book all restaurants in advance. Ok, we did go there over half term but there needs to be a lot more places to eat in Soldeu to accommodate everyone at busy times. Next time we would look to stay in Pas de la Casa which has far more going on in the town and restaurants wherever you look. No complaints about the Hotel or the holiday booking though.
