Hotel Aurach, Kitzbühel, Austria

This accommodation is located outside Kitzbuhel but the town can be easily reached by Taxi or Bus. Furthermore, the Ski bus stops are close at hand and are a very good service. The Hotel is a family run affair and is decorated traditionally to the area. The Manager speaks good English where the remaining staff have a basic understanding, but this was never an issue. The food was good and a different set menu each evening, that said everyone needed to be seated at the set time before service. Breakfast was a continental style self help which was excellent. The rooms were cosy, en-suite and comfortable again decorated in traditional style, and to get to the rooms after a hard day walking or skiing, the Hotel also operated a 4 person lift for those who don’t like steps. All in all I would consider returning to this Hotel summer or winter as it is far enough out of town to get a good nights sleep.

The accommodation at this hotel was good and the food also good. There is only one sitting and everyone is seated before the service commences. The bar and seating area is typical of the region with a friendly atmosphere. This is ideal for people who like a quiet and relaxed hotel.
