Hotel Karl Schranz, St Anton, Austria

We have come from the USA and skied the Alps every year since '95, and this is one of the finest places we've stayed! Great service, fine meals, large rooms, fantastic pool and health areas, plus skiing that exceed anything that can be found in North America. The owner is an Olympic and World cup ski legend, and a guest list that includes Presidents, movie stars (yes, of course "Arnold" being Austrian), and other dignitaries of the like. The free shuttle runs morning and afternoon with never more than a 10 minute wait. It also is slightly above the town which gives you great views in many directions. One warning, if you want partying and to make noise, stay in town. Otherwise this is one great place that our Mackey ski group plans on returning to again!
