Chalet Vieux Logis, Alpe d'Huez, France

POSITIVE: The communal areas of the chalet are fabulous. The kitchen and lounge areas are huge. The staff are very helpful and the food & wine flowed freely. NEGATIVE: If you are tall beware room 5. I know in France the rooms are usually on the small side and my Husband and I booked last minute so weren't exoecting the room shown on the website. However, if you are six foot or taller you will have major problems fitting in the bed. Basically it was a bunk bed broken down into 2 twins .My Huaband is 5'8" and could only just fit in. There's also very little storage space (one small wardrobe, a bedside cabinet & a chair), but that's because there's no room left to put anything else in there. As the room is in the roof space the ceiling slopes so watch your head.
