This inviting, chalet-style hotel, Hotel Edelweiss, is perfectly situated on the edge of Sauze d'Oulx, a haven for those eager to hit the slopes. With the Jouvenceaux Sportinia ski lift a mere 120 metres away, you can effortlessly ski or board directly from the boot room. Confident skiers can even enjoy the convenience of skiing right back to the hotel.
Inside, the Edelweiss exudes a relaxed Italian charm. Unwind in the intimate bar or the snug lounge, complete with a crackling open fire. The dining area, featuring authentic stone walls and wooden ceilings, creates a warm, rustic ambiance. Being on the outskirts affords spectacular valley views, best enjoyed from the spacious sun terrace.
Sauze's lively evening scene is a short 1km uphill, easily accessible via regular ski buses, with a stop just a couple of minutes' walk away. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the resort centre daily between 5 pm and 10 pm. Alternatively, the charming village of Jouvenceaux, with its selection of restaurants and bars, is only minutes away. After a day on the mountain, the small wellness area, offering a hot tub, sauna, and massage treatments, provides the perfect opportunity to relax.
Chalet Hotel Edelweiss offers free ski guiding with fully qualified ski and snowboard instructors. Various sessions run throughout the week to introduce you to the ski area and improve your technique along the way. Skiers and snowboarders wishing to take part need to be over 18 (or 12 in school holidays) and be good enough to ski down blue and red pistes. There are at least 3 sessions a week, and we guarantee each guest at least 2 sessions per week. Your hosts will explain how it works in further detail when you're there. You can sign up for the sessions at the chalet on your first day in resort.

Good hotel, liked spa and sauna. Rooms very small. Food good, but nothing fancy and not huge portions. No cheese course. No welcome drink! Bar was well stocked. Very handy for slope - we had lots of snow so virtually ski in ski out, would not be with less snow. Don’t book skis at Los Sportinia - a long way away and uphill. Book at Gris Sport,just down road. Do visit Jouvenceaux village for half hour wander.
