Highland Lodge strikes a sophisticated balance between independent living and hotel luxury, positioned ideally on the fringes of Geilo’s charming village centre. The apartments offer a deliberate contrast, featuring crisp white walls and pale timber that maximise the natural Norwegian light. These spaces are thoughtfully appointed with comprehensive kitchenettes and integrated dishwashers, allowing for seamless self-catering. When you prefer a rest from the kitchen, the lodge hosts its own pizzeria and the acclaimed Smakeriet à la carte restaurant, which focuses on authentic mountain flavours.
The wellness suite serves as a tranquil retreat with its inviting indoor pool, while the lounge bar provides a quiet corner for an evening drink. Families are equally well-catered for, with dedicated play zones ensuring younger guests remain entertained long after the lifts close.

All rooms have a TV, hairdryer and extra charge for bathrobes and slippers.
- Double room - sleeps 1-2: Double bed or twin beds, private bath or shower and WC.
Cots are available to hire for approx. kr300 (£21) per stay, payable locally, and must be pre-booked.
All apartments have a kitchenette with oven, hob, fridge, dish washer, kettle and coffee machine, as well as a TV and a hairdryer. Bathrobes and slippers are at an optional extra charge. Towels, bed linen and end-of-stay cleaning is included.
Highland Lodge main building apartments:
1 bedroom apartment (approx. 40m²) - sleeps 1-4 (max 3 adults and 1 child up to 15 years old): Double or twin bedroom, double sofa bed, private shower or bath, WC and balcony.
1 bedroom apartment with balcony (40m²) - sleeps 1-2: Double or twin bedroom, private shower or bath, WC and balcony.
Studio apartment with terrace (32m²) - sleeps 1-4 (max 3 adults and 1 child up to 12 years old): Double or twin beds, double sofa bed, private shower or bath, WC and terrace.
Fjellandsby building apartments:
2 bedroom apartment with balcony or terrace (56m²) - sleeps 3-4: Double bedroom, second bedroom with either a double bed or bunk beds, private shower or bath, WC and balcony or terrace.
3 bedroom apartment with balcony or terrace (70m²) - sleeps 3-6: Double bedroom, second and third bedroom with either double bed or bunk beds, private shower or bath, WC and balcony or terrace.
Cots are available to hire for approx. kr300 (£21), payable locally.
Please note: Some apartments are located in the Fjellandsby building next door.
Hotel Catering
For rooms: basic breakfast (a sandwich or yoghurt and tea, coffee, milk or juice from the coffee shop in reception). This will be delivered to your room each morning.
