Fleischer’s Hotel - Voss, Norway
Fleischer’s opened back in 1846, and there’s still heaps of charm on show today. We’re talking carved panelling, polished wooden floors and a proper open fireplace in the snug lounge. The pointed rooftops and turrets make it one of Voss’s most distinctive buildings. And it’s got a standout spot in the village too – close to the gondola, with views out front across snow-covered lawns to the lake beyond.
The hotel has off-slope hours sewn up too. There’s a wellness area with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna for some after-ski R&R. Fredrik’s Bar and lounge is a cosy space to unwind with your favourite tipple. And if you fancy a little friendly competition, swing by the games room to pick up a board game or play pool.
You’re staying bed and breakfast here, so your first meal of the day is sorted. You can also upgrade to get your evening meals included too. You’ll get 3-course dinners dished up in the hotel’s stylish Magdelena restaurant, and there’s plenty of local and seasonal fare on the menu.
