Based close to some of the top ski resorts in France and Switzerland, you can expect plenty of skiers and snowboarders in the terminals during the winter, though the airport is able to manage the traffic efficiently, with excellent links to some of the main destinations. During the winter months Geneva opens the Terminal 2 building to help manage the extra traffic. This is used for charter flights and most package holidays for weekend transfers.
