Kuhtai is a good skiing area for intermediate skiers. The slopes are long and steep. The only diference between red and black runs is the width of the slope.

Kuhtai is amazingly convenient for Innsbruck Airport and has good quality hotels with great facilities whether you go for a weekend or a week. I take a Group out every year for Off Piste skiing with Skischule Kuhtai. It has a lot of easily accessible terrain which can remain untracked in parts for days after a dump. If you want to hike a bit further a lot of terrain opens up especially if you use the knowledgeable Skischule Kuhtai guys who spend a lot of time touring the area recreationally themselves. There are a few bars and restaurants to keep you happy in the evenings unless you want to party hard or eat out at a different place every night when it can be limited. To be honest the freeride terrain is what we go there for and it never fails to deliver - skiing the Dam wall is a highlight for many.

Welcoming, relaxed, quick transfer, and great fun- bit bleak though, and went to -26 on top of the mountain in january we were there. teh ski school does a great show one a week, with lots of europop ...fun.
