La Plagne Reviews

Chalet Hotel Christina does not receive the best reviews yet it always delivers on location, food, friendliness, warmth and ski in, ski out. If you add a great crowd of fellow snow minded people it will never fail to win you over. It does help to have good snow conditions and blue skies to fulfil your winter holiday dreams to cruise the blues. Booking this superb Black Friday deal was the icing on the cake. After a nightmare flight aborted landings and re-directions due to high winds in Geneva plus a mini-bus that wasn't quite big enough we eventually arrived at Chalet Chanterelles and overall had an enjoyable holiday accompanied by lovely people in the chalet. Although the room wasn't the biggest and had a steep ladder/staircase to the sleeping mezzanine it was clean and had a good shower and the restaurant/lounge area was a good size. I don't expect much more in France anymore especially in a 3*. The lovely chalet girls Amy and Annabelle were exceptional in there work, hospitality and friendless. Snow conditions were fantastic although it was disappointing that the higher areas and links to Les Arcs and Chapagny were not open. But we still had a great time!

La Plagne was my favourite ski season. The magnificent ski area speaks for itself but the resort offers so much more. I love squeezing in some extra snow activities and La Plagne has so much to choose from, from tobogganing, snowmobiling, ice skating, bowling, swimming, husky sleds and even an Olympic bobsleigh! Don't be worried about the nightlife as there are so many bars spread across the resort. From La Tete bar and Saloon nightclub in Belle Plagne, Bobsleigh bar in 1800, Monica's in Plagne Soleil, and Scotty's, Igloo, Luna, and more in Plagne Center. Ski all day and have fun all evening in La Plagne!

La Plagne is covered with blue and red pistes, ski in/out accommodation and friendly mountain coffee stops so is ideal for families. There's also ice caves, an outdoor swimming pool, and ice rink as well as husky sledding and parapenting on offer to keep non-skiers busy too. The view from the top of the glacier is breath-taking and the black mogul field from the top is definitely worth a go for those looking to give their legs a bit of a workout. Although there isn't a huge amount of aprés, La Mine in La Plagne 1800, Scottys in Plagne Centre and Bowling Bar in Belle Plagne are all worth going to.
