There is a reason people flock to Meribel and return year after year. Firstly, the skiing area is well maintained and massive. In addition, the resort is lively and has apres-ski to suit everyone. At the heart of Les Trois Vallees, access to resorts higher up ensure that even towards the end of the season, great skiing can be reached from Meribel. Disadvantages worth noting are that it is not an ideal place for beginners, and can get very crowded at times, especially in the holidays. Overall though, it is one of the best places I've ever skied.

I was a little aprehensive about the resort of Meribel. Our chalet was 500m from the centre of the resort and 300m from a bus stop so I was worried about walking with all the ski gear. However I was pleasantly surprised - the bus system was very efficient and took us into the middle of the resort, so it was very easy. The ski area is huge, in a week an advanced skier cannot do all the runs of the three valleys area. The snow quality was good and the slopes are well groomed. I would definately go back.

Meribel is so friendly and welcoming; we can't wait to go back. The skiing is immaculately well maintained and hassle free and there are some great mountain restaurants if you look around (sorry can't remember their names!) For the best pizzas go to the refuge! The best crepes the creperie on the main street, the best Vin Chaud go to Evolution (internet too) and best party is in Jacks next door! The only drawback is that the shops are a bit samey, I know its a ski resort, but surely there's room for other shops too! Thanks

We had two holidays last year in Meribel and really enjoyed ourselves immensely. The skiing is a perfect 10 and can't be added to by simple comment; there is so much of it out there! Both times we became regulars at Jacks Bar and Evolution; both bars made us feel really welcome (they recognised us from our first visit). They held some fantastic evenings of entertainment also, combined with the Altitude festival. Eating out was generally expensive, Refuge, Evolution and Fromagare were the definitely the best value.

Meribel is one of the most attractive resorts right in the middle of the 3 valleys. It is the livliest of the three valleys. It is very family friendly with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. It is an excellent all round resort that offers something for everyone!
