Amazing snow, Ski in ski out, great apres - 20/05/2019
Overall

Val Thorens is one of my favourite resorts. The layout of the town means that wherever you are staying you are never to far from the slopes as there are 2 runs that meander through the town. It is a great place to explore the 3 valleys and the higher of the three resorts. 360 bar is a fun place for a couple of beers after a long day skiing, but not too many as you'll have to ski down from there after!

The best for ski in ski out convenience - 13/05/2019
Overall

Val Thorens is a superb purpose built resort with easy access to the incredible Three Valleys. Apres ski musts are Folie Douce, Bar 360 and Cafe Sneskos and be sure to ski into the hidden valley of Orelle for beautiful views and cruising slopes!

Incredible resort - 08/05/2019

Val Thorens never fails to deliver. Its snow record is second to none and the high speed interconnected lift system ensures maximum ski time. Superb access to Meribel and then over to the Courchevel Valley. Or try the 4th Valley! Bar 360 is good for on snow drinks, food and sounds. Malaysia is the place to be late evening!

Excellent holiday - 05/03/2019
Overall

I was extremely grateful to Christian at Iglu Ski who booked our holiday for us, ensuring we go the Exeter to Chambery flight. He was very helpful. Hotel Val Thorens was ok, not fantastic but a great location. Extensive skiing in Val Thorens.

Great resort, accommodation not so great. - 04/03/2019
Overall

Val Thoren is a great resort for beginners with a covered conveyer belt to get up the nursery slopes instead of a rope or drag lift. It's the highest resort in Europe so in spite of being sunny all week (24C) down in St Martin and 6C at highest point, the snow was perfect. Plenty going on, skiddoos spas, igloo building for kids. Tourotel not at all like the website pics though. Apartment for 2 was 1 room 4sqm with a small bathroom/toilet and cooker in an alcove by loo door. Tatty and not too clean but plenty warm enough and lots of hot water. I'd expect to pay about €30-£40 in th UK for a night there. I think I could have had a lot better for the money I paid. Also really noisy till quite late at night. Needs triple glazing.
