Chamonix ski hotels

Renowned for its extreme terrain, Chamonix offers legendary high-altitude skiing, including the famous 20km Vallée Blanche descent. Serving as the perfect basecamp for these alpine adventures, Chamonix ski hotels often feature direct panoramas of Mont Blanc, which looms over the valley at a staggering 4,809 metres.

Most of the hotels are concentrated in the bustling heart of Chamonix town, placing you right among excellent restaurants, bars, and shops.

Because the resort comprises five separate ski areas, true ski-in ski-out accommodation is incredibly rare; however, La Folie Douce Hotel is a fantastic exception located directly on the Savoy beginner slopes.

To stay close to the lifts for early glacier access, Hotel Mercure Chamonix Centre is just a short walk from the Aiguille du Midi gondola.

Budget-conscious skiers will find affordable bases around Chamonix Sud, the vital transport hub for the valley's ski buses.

For luxury and top-tier wellness facilities, the central Alpina Eclectic Hotel & Spa is superb, alongside the inviting heated outdoor pool at Le Refuge des Aiglons.

Finally, for a quieter, family-friendly atmosphere with gentler local terrain, seek hotels in the nearby village of Les Houches.
