La Massana ski resort
As one of the most family-friendly resorts in Andorra, La Massana is a perfect place for families that are looking for a relaxing break in a truly majestic environment. Located above 1500m, visitors can expect fantastic coverage.
La Massana is located 3km from Arinsal and has a gondola running from the town centre up to the Pal ski area which is linked to Arinsal.
There are plenty of excellent facilities nearby, including the capital, Andorra Le Vella, where visitors can enjoy duty-free shopping and pampering at the fantastic Caldea spa.
Snow conditions in La Massana
Ski season at Andorra runs from December to April and there are plenty of snow-making facilities to ensure excellent terrain even during dry spells. With 296 snow cannons, snow is guaranteed on 28km of the slopes in the Arinsal and Pal sector.
Skiing in La Massana
There is access to 63km of runs in the Arinsal/Pal area, including 42 individual pistes that are served by 30 ski lifts. Beginners will find a lot of enticing runs in the Prat de la Coma Area, while there is a large nursery for first timers who are familiarising themselves with the sport.
Intermediates will be impressed by the variety on offer at Pal, including four lengthy routes that are perfect for those wanting to improve their skills. The La Comellada is the toughest challenge here and leads all the way back to Els Fontanals.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants scattered across this resort, enabling visitors to relax with ease. La Massana is the quieter town compared to its neighbours. The Red Rock is one of the most popular options and is famous for its large portions and buoyant atmosphere.
The Surf Bar and Ciscos are other great venues for relaxation, while the Rocky Mountain Bar comes alive at night with a fantastic entertainment schedule and extraordinary food.
