"Fab base for family ski trip, with great hospitality and first rate evening meals"
Super friendly family run small and friendly accommodation, easy to get about for family ski trip..
As a family including 3 boys in their 20’s holiday was enjoyed by all.
Good intermediate ski area with plenty choice of slopes.
Lovely views from room balcony, plentiful breakfast and the 3 course evening meals were some of the best we’ve had on any ski holiday.
Handy ski storage room and ski bus stop just across the road..
Near to centre of Alpbach for after ski bars and restaurants, large spa supermarket just down the road..
Alpbach itself is beautiful with lots to see, would happily return in future..
"Lovely family run hotel with great food and superb location"
The hotel is a lovely friendly family run business in a pretty Alpine village. Scores highly for cleanliness and quality of food. The location is great - just a couple of minutes to the bus stops for lifts; to a pub and pizza place etc. village is very beautiful with traditional alpine wooden chalets.
We had booked half board and were very happy with the quality of provision. We had lots of fruit and yogurt and cheese/hans and good coffee from a machine. Also scrambled eggs bacon and bread every day. At the start of week we chose our options for dinner every night - 3 courses with a choice of 3 or 4 mains. My stepson was able to ask for seconds on a couple of occasions and they were happy to accommodate.
The rooms are warm and big enough for what we needed, bathrooms very small but good showers and plenty of hot water.
Beds are comfortable although we missed having a double bed. An extra pillow was provided and towels changed on request. Would recommend bigger bath towels though please!
A store / boot room is provided to leave your ski equipment - however some selfish people took my skis and poles and my husband’s poles on the morning of the last full day so we missed a days skiing. I would keep in the room next time. Recommend ski hire insurance for this reason.
We would certainly stay at Haus Andreas again - lovely family and made very welcome.
"Can’t beat it"
Stayed 7 nights w/c January 10th, 2026. Holiday booked through Crystal Ski.
Absolutely brilliant in every regard. Family owned and run, and it shows in every aspect. Service, cleanliness and food outstanding. Stayed in room 15 which had a balcony and great views of the mountains. In really pretty village, with a few hotels, restaurants and bars. Ski hire shop 2 mins walk and right next to the bus stop. Has its own boot room and a couple of minutes walk to catch the regular ski buses. Part of the ski Jewel area, offering great skiing over a couple of different mountains. I’d say mainly an intermediate resort, although plenty of blues for beginners. A very friendly and civilised resort, so safer to ski. Lots of good quality mountain restaurants and little to no lift queues. Love Haus Andreas and the area. Will definitely revisit, in fact many of the guests had stayed in previous years.
"Hidden gem of Alpbach"
exemplary guesthouse, staff so friendly and helpful, owners speak to all guests daily. Rooms very cosy and Comfortable, extra pillows available, nothing too much trouble. Food superb, breakfast provides choices of bread which is super fresh cooked choices, eggs , bacon etc cold meats and cheeses, fruit, yoghurt. Evening meals also excellent, three courses, choice at beginning of stay, delicious. My husband was ill on transfer day, staff very helpful and able to lie down in side sitting room, highly recommend and will return.
"The hills are alive with the sound of cowbells ..... "
A family-run hotel in this quiet alpine village. Rooms aren't huge but perfectly functional with adequate storage, proper hangers, safe, comfortable bed, hair drier, and plenty of power points. Bathroom compact and bijou, but shower excellent and permanent hot water supply. However, no fridge or kettle provided. Food outstanding, with decent selection at breakfast and top class evening meals. We had 3 course meals, set menu, for 7 nights (part of a group), and there are no complaints. The bar, as such, is part of the restaurant, so don't expect a late night drink. Staff are attentive and helpful (the owners pretty much ever-present). The Village has a few watering holes, though at this time of year, quiet.
