Hotel Wirlerhof, Galtur, Austria

The Hotel Wirlerhof is really fabulous. It is super clean and is situated in a prime location to the ski slopes. The food , the staff,and the hospitality is absolutely first class. I can thoroughly recommend this Hotel. The staff are so helpful and pleasant and the chef is a culinary God !. My only concern was that when we booked our holiday , we paid more for an upgrade to Superior Rooms, and on arrival we were given standard rooms over looking a grey carpark. We told the receptionist and she tried to tell us that the rooms were superior.! They weren't ! She allowed us to take another room which was 100% bigger and over looked the mountain ! She said it was last one...I thought this was rather naughty. The English seemed to be hidden in the back of the Hotel! Apparently they do this often after taking to other guests.! They did give us the superior rooms once we made them aware though but I felt a bit embarassed having to say we paid for a bigger room. That aside, I would definately go back to this Hotel.Infact we are going back! We've just booked again with friends. It is the perfect place for people wanting a little luxury. They pull out all the stops and even gave us a packed breakfast to take home on departure which I thought was such a kind touch. I will book for longer next time as I didn't want to leave, but, I will also make sure I ask for the mountain view rooms as soon as I check in next time. Thank you for a wonderful Holiday.
