Chalet Verwall, Obergurgl
Chalet Verwall (pronounced Fair-val) makes an excellent home for your ski holiday, and is proving a tremendous hit with families.
The location simply could not be bettered, at the end of a short, quiet cul-de-sac off Obergurgl’s main street, with the easiest possible access to and from the slopes, and accommodation ideally suited to families, with all suites having two separate sleeping areas (Suite 1 has 3!), private facilities and a small kitchenette.
Just 30m from the chalets ski-room door, you can step into your bindings and ski down to the Festkogl gondola – one of the areas main high-speed lifts, and your best route straight up into the Obergurgl half of the ski area. From here, the choice is yours, either to ski the varied slopes above the village, or to take a blue or red run to the Top Express gondola and whizz across to the wide open slopes of Hochgurgl.

Breakfast
In all our properties breakfast is served buffet-style with a selection of cold options including a choice of cereals or porridge, cold meats, cheese and preserves, and bread (an croissants in France) fruit juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and beans.
On the one staff night off per week, a continental style breakfast is laid out for you to help yourselves in all chalets whilst it is served as a buffet in our Chalet Hotels.
Afternoon Tea
Every day, apart from the one staff day off, a home-baked cake with tea and coffee making facilities, are laid out for you to help yourself when you return from the slopes.
Evening Meals 6 nights a week
5.30pm High Tea
High Tea at 5.30pm is served as a 2 course evening meal for all children under 13 as many parents prefer to enjoy adult-only company over dinner. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 3, whilst 3-12 years old are supervised by our childcare team. Puréed food is also always available for infants on request.
7.30pm Adult Dinner
Adult dinner comprises 3 courses including an appetiser, main dish and dessert, preceded by a prosecco apéritif, accompanied by a choice of red and white wines, and culminating with tea or coffee.
Vegetarians are catered for as well as any other specific dietary requirements, if we are advised in advance. Supplements may apply for specific dietary requirements, ask for details.
Family Dining Chalets
If it's important to you to eat dinner altogether as a family, we offer Family Dining in any chalet when you book the entire chalet for exclusive use. Dinner is then served from 6:30pm with the menu based on our adult dishes with some flexibility for the children's preferences. There is a supplement of £39 per child for Family Dining.
Our chalet, the Valentine in La Rosiere, is a Family Dining chalet throughout the season, with no additional charge.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider staying with us in a Chalet Hotel where children aged 8 and above have the option of joining their parents at the adult dinner.
