Chalet Gerlinde, St Anton, Austria

I think this probably must be the best located chalet in the resort. It is a stones throw from the restaurants, bars and slopes. It takes about 5 -10 mins (depending on your speed) to walk through the town to the main gondola's but there are a few nearer. The chalet is spacious (especially if you have been to French ones!!) and very very comfortable. Lots of space for clothes/bags etc. Owner lives in apartment under house - and is very nice. We only saw her on arrival and on departure. Nice upstairs area where you can make tea/coffee. Our chalet team were lovely - professional to the n'th degree. And I have to say this chalet was very clean. Wifi worked well - you had to re connect each day but wasn't an issue. This chalet is great for family, groups or even if you share with others - there is lots of space so plenty of opportunity for privacy. I wouldn't hesitate to return here or to the resort. We were a mixed ability group - medium to good skiiers. All women 40+. The resort was perfect for us..good apres ski, great slopes and plenty of snow when we were there in January 2014
