Hotel Seehof
Perched right on the tranquil shores of Lake Zell, the family-run Hotel Seehof blends classic Austrian hospitality with an enviable alpine setting. Mornings start with views across the shimmering water towards snow-dusted peaks, setting the tone for an effortless day on the mountain.
Getting first tracks couldn't be simpler, with the City Xpress gondola just a six-minute stroll from your door, whisking you directly up into the Schmittenhöhe ski area. When the lifts close, Zell am See’s charming pedestrianised centre is practically on your doorstep, bustling with lively après-ski spots, cosy cafés, and local taverns.
Inside, the hotel strikes the perfect balance between modern updates and heritage warmth, pairing rich wood panelling with comfortable, welcoming furnishings. After exploring tree-lined cruisers or carving panoramic pistes, unwind on the lakeside terrace with a cold drink, soak up the tranquil alpine scenery, or visit the sauna for some well-deserved recovery. With friendly, attentive hosts tending to every detail, it is a thoroughly relaxed, hassle-free winter retreat.
