Ski holidays in Muonio, Finland
Muonio is surrounded by Finland’s most popular national park: Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Muonio is located at approximately 69 degrees latitude, directly under the Aurora Oval, a ring above the Earth’s Geomagnetic North Pole where the Aurora Borealis can be seen. During the Aurora season, you can witness the northern lights at least every other night.
Fell Lapland has the biggest concentration of ski resorts in Finland. There are two resorts in Muonio, Olos and Pallas. They both offer ski rental services. In Pallas, the soil of the slopes is not mechanically treated which makes skiing as natural as possible with all the mounds and shapes intact. This is the place to ski whether you’re into snowboarding or off-piste! These amazing fells are also favourites for paragliders.
