Residence Les Bergers, Alpe d'Huez, France

The apartments are ok if a little worn and in need of some tlc. The location is good for the slopes with easy access to the marmottes lift. the nearest supermarket is in the centre commercial, again next to the marmottes lift. this is a quiet resort and excellent for a get away holiday. As is normal with French resorts the piste map seems to vary some what from the reality of the mountains, this is especially the case when on the runs which are one color but are in fact more like another. There seems to be a big gap between the spread of greens and the blacks up the mountain but overall the runs are wider than a lot of other resort so its great for learners, experienced skiers may get through the runs quickly. The boxes where out in the park although the remainder was yet to be built, so if your early season don't expect anything else. Overall its not a chocolate box resort but it is a pleasant place to holiday.
