Ski holidays in Brides les Bains
Brides le Bains is one of the best value options for a ski holiday in the Three Valleys ski area. The Olympe gondola transports skiers and snowboarders to Meribel in just 25 minutes. From there, if you do not want to ski the Meribel area, you can continue on to the Courchevel area or up to Val Thorens.
The lift to the resort was built in the 1990’s in order to house Olympians in the centre of the great ski slopes whilst providing a quieter destination in order for them to focus on the competition. The quaint town focuses on providing health and wellbeing and is known for its spas and thermal baths.

Brides les Bains ski resort
Brides les Bains is a pretty town situated just below Meribel, offering easy access to the fantastic Three Valleys area. Accommodation here is more reasonably priced than other resorts on the mountain.
Brides les Bains has long been a popular spa town and still has several spas where you can indulge in a treatment to ease weary muscles. The town has a traditional French feel and is compact enough that nothing is ever a long walk away. Those with a hire car can reach the Espace Killy in an hour.
There are shops, restaurants, bars and even a cinema and a casino for evenings after skiing, or for those who want a day off from the mountain.
Snow conditions in Brides les Bains
85% of the Three Valleys is above 1800m with 10 of the 25 summits over 2500m making it one of the most snow sure ski areas in the world. Brides le Bains village may only sit at 600m but the 2000 snowmaking machines across the mountain keeps the slopes in top condition.
Skiing in Brides les Bains
The skiing in Brides les Bains itself is not the greatest but is suitable for those more intermediate and who want to make the most of great gondola links and affordable skiing.
For beginners it is more suitable to take the gondola link to Meribel and enjoy the nursery slopes there but is useful to rent the equipment in Brides les Bains in order to avoid the busy queues in Meribel.
If you do require slopes more intermediate and advanced then Brides les Bains is a great gateway to other pistes within the Three Valleys. On your way back to Brides les Bains if you are confident enough then you can enjoy the vertical descent and go off piste back to your accommodation.
Children will love the fun zones of Meribel, including The Animal Piste at the start of the Dent de Burgin chairlift and the Moon Park snowpark.

Après ski in Brides les Bains is quiet compared to other resorts in the area, but it is perfect for relaxation after a long day on the slopes. The Le Grand Spa Thermal offers a large menu of massages, wraps, and facials as well as personalised fitness programmes and slimming treatments.
Cosy bars and restaurants with roaring fires are perfect for a quiet drink or an affordable meal or there is even a casino to spend your night trying to win big. For those who do still want the wild nightlife and fun that goes hand in hand with après ski then why not enjoy the atmosphere in Meribel before catching the gondola back to your chalet.
Transfer time to Brides les Bains
Coach transfers to Brides le Bains from Chambery Airport take approximately 2 hours, whilst many flights come into Geneva which takes about 3.5 hours to get to resort.
