Golf Hotel, Brides Les Bains, France

We went to Brides for a long ski weekend and although Brides is at the base of Meribel, its easily accessed on the gondola. The gondola trip takes about 25 minutes, but it drops you a few hundred yards from all the lifts that take you to all parts of the mountain. We stayed at the Golf Hotel, just a short walk from the Gondola. We really liked it at the Golf. Very friendly staff, nice decor and a sense of good high quality about the place. In the evenings, there is a nice dining atmosphere, all very relaxed and refined. My advice on the rooms, is not to go for the classic, but to go for a superior room, I dont think they've quite finished the decor on the 5th floor and in the mornings it was a bit of a dumping ground for the cleaning team. We would definitely stay at the Golf Hotel again. The town of Brides les Bains is fairly quiet, it wont set the world alight for apres ski, but it has a few nice bars and restaurants and also a casino. This was our 4th visit to Brides and no doubt not our last.
