The De L'Arve enjoys a convenient location just a 7-minute amble from the centre of Chamonix, putting you within easy reach of the town's lively bar, restaurant and shopping scene. When it comes to hitting the slopes, getting to the lifts is pretty straightforward too. The Chamonix Planpraz gondola is close by, if you’re heading to the top of Le Brévent – although you could hop on the nearby Savoy-Samaran drag lift instead, for a shorter walk and a little warm up. If you’re planning to venture up Mont Blanc though, you’ll be wanting to take the Aiguille du Midi gondola – it’s a bit further to walk at roughly 17 minutes through the town, but fortunately the ski bus stop’s much closer and is just around the corner.
The hotel’s been family-run for three generations, having started out as an early 20th century café. Along with the hotel, they’ve also inherited the same passion for hosting and are always planning the next steps to improve things and better welcome their guests. When it comes to your room, there’s a cosy blend of alpine character and modern comforts, with simple furnishings and plenty of warm wood for that classic ski chalet vibe. Some even come complete with balconies and stunning views of Brévent, Col de Balme or Mont Blanc itself.

There’s the spa and relaxation room for peaceful après or, if you’ve still got some energy to burn, why not challenge the gang to a pool tournament or have a go on the climbing wall.
