Known for its friendly staff and excellent food, the Serena’s a great-value pick in one of Italy’s chicest ski spots. Getting to the slopes is hassle-free – there’s a ski bus stop outside, and the hotel runs a free shuttle that’ll take you to all the main lifts. It’s set on the edge of the resort, which is ideal if you prefer peaceful evenings. But if you do fancy a night out, the main street is just a short stroll away.
The hotel itself has a traditional look, from the bright green shutters to the frescoed walls. The authentic feel continues inside, with pinewood panelling lining the restaurant and a stone fireplace in the cosy lounge. Upstairs, the bright and simply furnished bedrooms are a comfy place to end the day – and some even have balconies where you can step outside to take in the mountain views.
