Gaustablikk Kvitavatn Mountain Cabins
The traditional Kvitåvatn Mountain Cabins offer a classic, homey Norwegian ski retreat on the tranquil edge of Gausta. Simply furnished in pine and natural wood, these cabins provide a cosy, rustic base to share hearty, self-catered meals with family or friends, before relaxing by the warmth of an open fire.
The snow-sure slopes, ski lifts, and local supermarket are conveniently close by, making morning starts hassle-free. A short six-minute stroll brings you to the Gaustablikk Mountain Resort, where you can join the lively après-ski crowd in Kirk’s Bar or unwind in the spa. For ultimate relaxation, pay a little extra to visit the resort’s floating saunas on the frozen lake, finishing with an optional, traditional dip in the icy waters.
For a break from cooking, upgrade to bed and breakfast or half board. The flexible half-board option includes a three-course set menu at Blikk Fjellbrasserie, or you can dine at Fjell restaurant with a discount, or use a partial payment voucher towards Blikk’s à la carte menu.

There is an extra charge of approx. 50kr for entry to the wellness area. This fee covers use of the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub.
The floating saunas must be pre-booked. There is an extra cost to use these of approx. 850NOK (£60).
Guests should check out before 11am.
All facilities including reception, are in the main hotel, Gaustablikk Mountain resort, which is a 5 to 6 minute walk.
Apartment Room Options
All apartments are non-smoking and have a TV, fireplace, free WiFi and a kitchen with an oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher. Towels, linen and end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen) are included.
- 3 bedroom apartment with mountain view and sauna - sleeps 1-8 (max 6 adults and 2 children): Double bedroom, second bedroom with two bunk beds, third bedroom with family bunk bed, private shower, sauna and WC.
Cots are available to hire for approx. £22.50 per week, payable locally.
Please note: Beds will not be made on arrival.

Alternatively, you can get a partial payment voucher for Blikk's à la carte evening menu – just inform the reception at the Mountain Resort two days beforehand and they'll book you in.
