Skiing in Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt
One of the most popular Italian destinations for British skiers is Cervinia; it cannot fail with its high altitude snow-sure skiing. Since been developed as a ski area in 1936 Cervinia has 21 state of the art ski lifts that access over 360 km of downhill skiing. The Valtournenche ski area has 41 red runs, 20 blue and 11 black runs and also a snow-park for children. The newest six seater ski lift in Cervinia is the Pancheron and allows skiers to reach an altitude of 3,000m in less than ten minutes. The Reine Blanche is the most famous run in Valtournenche which descends from the Klein Matterhorn passing both Plateau Rosa and Ventina.
